The Train That Never Came Poem by James Ruwende

The Train That Never Came

Rating: 4.5

It's been many days now
Waiting for the train that never came
Night and day my eyes are to the rail
The crevice that shall bring forth water
To nourish my ailing soul
For l have grown weary with each passing day
Yet like a pregnant woman
l await in unwavering expectation
Having stone faith of the unbeheld
Though worry and dread may cloud me
May it carry me till that day
When the train that never came
Will finally grace my life
