The True Life Source
The heart beats soundly
It beats true
The only life source
I hang on to
It swam through the ocean
It almost drowned
Sucked underneath
It never made a sound
It got lost in a cave
Wondered in nothingness
Weaving through worry and despair
It’ll be the one to miss
It was held high
Too high in the sky
Though it had no balance
It really couldn’t fly
It was crushed
Broken open and bleeding
Showed the world what was inside
All the love it was feeling
It was able to stand again
And it stood tall
After gathering its pieces
It refused to fall
It clung onto life
Though there was not much left
It shouldered through anxiety
Never got caught in a theft
Until now it failed
Until today it lost
It will still remain strong
There is too much cost
The heart beats soundly
It beats true
The only life source
I hang on to
