The Truth Not The Facts Poem by Emmanuel Odei Oduro

The Truth Not The Facts

The truth in Jesus sets free
The fact flashes your current form
In Christ the truth forces out the facts
For Jesus knows no impossibilities
Has thus the unique ability
To willingly override the laws of nature
To prove His potency and privilege

Facts are manmade and visible veracities
The facts may be foully and frankly frightening
The doctor's report says you have cancer
The bank statement shows a zero balance
The reality is that you are to be retrenched
It is obvious you don't have helpers
That dreaming about Higher education
The planning to become a doctor
The diagnosis of not living beyond six weeks
The obvious fact of never to be totally debt free
Are not only plain but proven facts
But these facts are not the true truth
The total truth is what Jesus says
The Messiah's verdict on the issue.

The truth is what Christ says about your state
The truth is God's will about your status
An encounter with Jesus
A word from the Christ
Defines and establishes the truth
About your true position
Rather than your current situation

If you are in Christ
Abundant life is your ordained portion
You become more than a conqueror
Tribulations may verily visit you
But they are purely passing pickles
While the devil designs them to us destroy
God usually utilises them to us bless

So head or tail we prevail
Rain or shine we triumph
For in Christ all things work for our good
No matter what the facts say
We are rest assured
Victory will be ensured
As the one we serve, steadfastly
And the Lord we worship, staunchly
Promised and wished us no less.
