The Tuareg Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

A message of the Tuareg in the Sahara,
And of the heat of Africa that greets you;
But, you do have more stories for us to learn.
'Amen-Ra' and 'Hapi' to the Egyptians,
And of the copies made to the whole world!
But this message of the Tuareg is here to stay.
Greetings to the camel market in Cairo!
And of the sand's storm over the delta of the Nile;
But, let us love the salt water around us.
The salt of West Africa,
And of the caravans of camels on the Sahara;
But, i will keep on moving with the gladiators in my mind.
