The Ultimate Outsider Poem by Mustafa Marconi

The Ultimate Outsider

Doubt me if you please
Label me as you so frequently do
Question my credibility
Pointing out my record and prior history
I am not ashamed of who I am
You use them to discredit my conclusions
To raise suspicion to my premises
If my philosophies contradict your fallacies
Then this magnificent edifice you have erected
One hallow brick at a time
Will come under critical scrutiny
You tell me that Jesus is coming
I’ll meet him when he comes
Then I’ll ask him why so many claim
To prophesize in his name
Why so many dare to imply doing God’s will
As if the Father needed the help of the mentally shackled
To help him give knowledge to whom he pleases
Who authorizes you to spread the gospel of the Prophets
When you have conveniently given your birthrights
To an international cult that doesn’t faintly resemble
The physical characteristics of Isaac and Ishmael
“Black I Am”, proclaimed Solomon
“Black As The Tents Of Kedar”
Yet you allow the descendents of slave masters
And the descendents of cave dwellers
Cleaned up by Moses
With the help of generation after generation
Of negro overseers
To dictate to you what is fiction and what is not
What is the norm and what is not
What is politically correct and what is not
What is acceptable and what is not
You say the father is coming
I’ll greet him when he comes
Then I’ll ask him about the many false prophets
Who claim to have spoken with him
As they use the power of their pulpit
To hold the masses in spiritual bondage
Seeking only to expand their material and monetary worth
For if it truly is a life changing message, as they claim
Why don’t they just give it to every man
And if the Lord truly is your Sheppard and counselor
Why do you covet the next man’s purse
Doubt me if you please
Label me as you so frequently do
I am not ashamed of who I am
The ultimate outsider
Critical of all the lies you blindly accept
Suspicious of all of your premises and hidden agendas
For no lie shall live forever
And one day the lost and sheered sheep
Shall come wandering back to the flock
