The Valley Sun Poem by Juan Olivarez

The valley sun, took a break today,
High up n the sky.
Hiding behind the the clouds of grey,
That gently o'er us fly.

He's had a vacation long overdue,
That he finally had to take.
He's up there somewhere, sipping on a brew,
It's about time for goodness sakes.

I love the sun, like everyone,
But a little rain is just so cool.
A little bit of each is fun,
That really ought to be the rule.
