The Veil Poem by Juan Olivarez

The Veil

Rating: 5.0

There is a veil that separates,
Our Earthly world from theirs.
So you should stop to meditate,
Lest they catch you unawares.

There is an endless invisible veil,
That divides worlds unseen.
And few there are can really tell.
When signs appear, just what they mean.

Have you ever felt goose pimples,
Upon your arms and neck,
When entering a door, so simple,
But decided to step back?

When you see shimmering waves before you,
Is that really rising heat?
Or is the veil letting someone through,
You might not like to meet.

Open your mind, and close your eyes,
They can deceive you anyway.
And you'll see movement, and hear the cries,
And maybe then, you'll see the way.
