The Visitor Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

The Visitor

A robin came to say hello,
With chirpy song and eyes aglow,
Looking for some worms to eat,
Roaming near my tired feet.

For he has watched me from afar,
Tending to my garden space,
He's waited very patiently,
To sit and rest, he moves with pace.

Aha, he's found a tasty worm,
A nice fresh titbit there he finds,
Amongst the freshly dug brown earth,
Then off he goes, leaving me behind.
