The Voice Behind The Pen Poem by Lore Me34

The Voice Behind The Pen

I write poetry because in the real world my voice feels like it is unheard. Only when I write my poetry do people seem to hear my words. Many people after reading my works probably wonder who is this man? Who is the voice behind the pen? Well, I am that man in the wheelchair you ignore as I try to cross the street. I am that man you reach over in the checkout line when I too am there to get something to eat. I am that man in the wheelchair who has to ask you to please move on the bus because you're sitting in my seat. I am the one people laugh at and make jokes about just because I have CP. Yes, that is who I am. My Name is Ronald Smith and I have Cerebral Palsy I am the voice behind the pen.
