The Void Inbetween The Stars Poem by Benny Hsing

The Void Inbetween The Stars

Rating: 5.0

Remember me
For only
This:

Tomorrow I will leave
like any caged bird
when such an opening
has been revealed
too long have the walls
been transcribed
with
the desert moon and
the sketchless sun
I cannot look any longer
for I will be
seeing
through closed eyes
as if
the nonexistence
of what is,
was a lost prayer
idling
from a tantalizing
distance

there was no undoing – no doing at all

I would not have listened
afraid to hear
like a scuttling roach
returning
to the cracks
my truth has been
neither true
nor false
such as
a drifting cloud
in the temporal sky
passing over heads
until
that cloud
dissipates

no one can say everything

Days, nights, stars, and sky
Dreams, thoughts, awake, and sleep
Distance, touch, here, and gone

nothing without another.

Forget me
For anything
But this:

All action has a reaction? Is that the thrust of the poem? Good thoughts. Don't forget to catch some of mine. Adeline
