The Waiting Poem by Phil Whittaker

The Waiting

I wait now for you, to make up your mind,
But I do it gladly, as girls like you are hard to find,
Witty and pretty, sexy but smart,
Only you girl, hold the key to my heart

I will never find better, compared to you there's no one,
Every moment without you is a waste of love, gone,
I want to make you happy, in every single way,
I need to be with you, I will savour everyday

Days together, Days apart,
Days maybe wasted, trying to rekindle your heart,
But I won't give in, and never again
will i put you through that pain,

Things I said, things I did,
I'm glad you forgive, I was just a kid,
But now i'm mature, near enough a man,
I want to make the best of you, while we still can

But most of all I need you at night,
'cus this is when I slip, lose my guiding light,
When i'm there. Just lying in a heap,
My whole life changes, and I just can't sleep.

I need your tender love by my side,
I need your beating heart, for secrets to confide,
But I'll still wait, promises at hand and heart on sleeve,
For your decision, do you stay, or do you leave?

I love this poem Phil- it's really moving! The reader can really tell that you were feeling this poem when you were writing it and I was feeling it when I was reading it! I hope that your girl will come round to her senses and go back out with you! Luv ya, :) xXxXx
