The Waiting Games Poem by Simon Odhiambo

The Waiting Games

I have not heard you confess it
Yet I know so very well about it
I have not seen you shed a happy tear
Yet you claim to have loved it

Have you ever stayed up late
Just dozzing off by his side
As he watches his favourite team
You have not loved

Have you ever stayed up late
Just busying off by her side
As the saloonist does the final touches
You have not loved

If you love
You have to wait
Just a little longer

If you love
You have to set free
Just a little linger
