The Walk Poem by Marilyn White

The Walk

Sitting here
Looking out
Sitting here
Looking in
No matter how you look
It’s still the same thing
Nothing has changed
You didn’t miss much
Taking that long walk
Trying to find what
You were looking for
On that path of life
Bound for a rapid waters
Smooth sailing after the falls
You are not that far off
Just on the other side
There’s a new beginning
Looking for someone like you
To take the blame of why
This all had to happen this way
