The Wall Poem by Avik Roy

The Wall

Rating: 5.0

The warmth of your smile
Touches me cold as ice.
They add colour
To lies that deceive me...
Vague promises
That never were meant to be...
Shiny like the bubbles
Of my own expectations
That burst at the merest touch
Of my foolish finger.
Slowly the bars rise
Through the recesses of my mind,
Shutting out all hopes
Or anything left behind.
Its only the wall...not love
That stood the test of time.

Shutting out all hopes Or anything left behind. Its only the wall...not love That stood the test of time. These lines indicate the despair and hopeless position. We must aim at positive energies.

Thanks for your comment. There are times when there is nothing more left to do...and the best you can try to get over it is write about it and get it out from the heart...which I did.
