The Wandering Girl Wondered Poem by Frank Gray

The Wandering Girl Wondered

The wandering girl often wondered, why the sky was blue, and her bed was cold.
She wondered where she might have to wander, to see skies gold and sliver
She wondered what waters, she must tread to find where whales dance to the song of the moon
She wandered to the sound thundering drums,
She wandered west, from where whales often decay to find the moon songs dead.
She wandered for days but found only grey and blue skies
And when she could wander no more, she lied on cold wet stone
Even now as the skies turns dark, the wandering girl wondered where she might wander next the skies turns blue.
