The War That Was Not Yours
The day you left,
we knew you would come back,
A scared man, but
We kept together.
Just waiting for the day,
Where you would walk,
Back into our lives,
But you never did.
You took the death toll,
Up to 301, to them
You're just another dead.
To us you were our life,
Lost in a war,
That was never yours
