The Warm Cool Breeze Poem by Robert Beksinski

The Warm Cool Breeze

Rating: 5.0

The warm cool breeze of the summer tease.
You laughed a lot while I felt for real.
Always planning ahead with the sincere knowledge,
That it was going to end.

I got fooled into thinking more of what was not.
And left feeling stupid when the lies surfaced.
Spent many hours dreaming of you.
But when you’re gone, your dreams go too.

The conversations along with everything else slowly stopped.
And faded away into forgotten oblivion.
Now this is our ending to our place in history,
And shall history burn in the pit of the sun.

But the ashes will remain,
In a jar I will keep,
Locked away in the memories of how it use to be.
And I still miss the warm cool breeze.
