The Water Dispenser Ran Out Of Water Poem by Melanie Emikohe

The Water Dispenser Ran Out Of Water

What a strenuous labor
lifting 200 pounds of cast iron
veins gorge like centennial old
roots of biceps/triceps

So damn thirsty!

Muscles queue before a hollow
container, waiting for someone paid
to do his job - lift and flip
a 5 gallon of relief on the floor
