wave
of sea water
splashes my face
the taste is something new,
the smell was salty sweet and tangy
mixed into the swirl of wind going by,
It felt cool on my pale Irish skin.
my red hair blowing in the wind
became dense with sea salt.
the sand was like a massage on my feet
creeping in between my toes,
and the wave,
The Wave
that is coming
is taller than the mast
of a ship
and yet it grows
in height as it comes,
comes closer into the shore.
then it hits me.
the giant wave
knocks
me
down
and
drags
me
out
with
it.
and i swim back
lovely images and the entire poem a lovely image all the senses involved finally the spirit comes into its own fearless against all that goes up against it wonderful

Your eyes see so simply the beauty in a moment of time. I felt as though I were there watching. Jim
