The Wedge Moon Poem by Nita Hanson

The Wedge Moon

Rating: 5.0

The moon from my window
Like a giant lemon wedge
Shining through the clouds
On a dark and windy night
With hardly a star in sight
As she moves in her majestic splendor
I can hear her whispering to me
Fear not the darkness
Fear not the howling of the wind
I will be here for you
And watch you in your sleep
While you dream of peace
To reign upon your world
I will stay with you
Until the the light of dawn breaks through
Just remember I will only fade away
For a moment not too long
I will shine for you again
You will never be alone!
