The Will To Live Poem by Paul Christopher Robertson

The Will To Live

Love is a funny thing
It puts you on top of the world
Then in the blink of an eye
You can come crashing down

You wake up alone.
With tears puring rom you eyes
You get back up
Your knocked straight back down
And goes on and on

I can’t take the pain no more
It’s been too long
The time for healing has been and gone
I’m not hear
I’m standing outside my window
Looking back in at my life
Who I used to be
I don’t know him anymore

Then she took my dignity from me
For all to see
Then threw me in to a cold
And unrelenting world
Controlled by hate
Took my hair and lift my bare

I’ve lost he will to live
I’m so tired
But I can’t sleep
What have you done to me?
What have you done to heart?
Never cared about relationships
But now all I want is one with you
It’s not like you don’t have a clue
You just don’t care

I get in a good mood
The whole worlds all right with me
Then you pull me down
Beat me around till I can’t see

Why can’t anyone relate to me?
Try my best all the time
And I’m still miserable
