The Wind And We Poem by Dale Barnes

The Wind And We

We Shall Speak of The Moon…

And Seek The Stars,

We Shall Drink…

…Of the Cool Blue Water,

In Azure Skies

In a Dark, Desolate Land.

There… Where Father Sky

And We… Are One.

We’ll Watch the Sunsets,

And Laugh in the Wind…

…As Witch Craft, Wind Chimes and

Whippoorwills Watch Away the Tears...

…In an Island of Tempestuous Ghosts,

Where Shadows

Mend Lost Thoughts.

Where Meadow Flowers,

And Sun Drenched Daisies

Heal Ancient Wounds,

And Paint Pictures of Then.

There… Where Entertainment is Organic,

Enchantment is Authentic,

War…Lethargic,

And Wonder…Simple Logic.

My Wife, Mother Earth

Waits for Us at Every Pass.

A Smile as a Breeze,

A Gentle Kiss…

…Is Her Way…

…As a Cloud Passes By,

The Sullen Way Goes Away…And

Gives us Reason to Live, Live

On to That Better Place…

…To The Garden,

Where Once Flowers

Enticed and Disgraced,

And Now Endowed in Grace…

In Her Place...
