The Wordless Words Poem by Dónall Dempsey

The Wordless Words

THE WORDLESS WORDS

here
as I

enter
you

we let go
of all we know

leaving ourselves
behind us

in order to reach...to touch
if only

for an instant

that part of us
we can not know

or only know
in the letting go

the up turned faces
of all our former selves

gasping
aw we grasp

with ever outstretched fingers

the trapeze
of sex

as we soar
each beyond

our selves
now

here as I
enter you

the great unknown
...known.
