The World's Oldest Sheep
News of her death has travelled far and wide
The World's oldest sheep at lake Bolac has died
At the time honoured age of twenty three
What's old for a sheep seems young to you and me.
Most sheep at a young age slaughtered for their meat
For you and me and others for to eat
But she was one left to die naturally
And in so doing created her own history.
A quiet old place in Victoria known for it's lake and scenic views
Due to the death of an aged sheep of late in the World news
For a sheep twenty three years is a great age indeed
Of such stories one does not often hear of or of often read.
Her's was indeed a very natural fate
She did not end up on a dinner plate
For words to describe this one might say I am stuck
As some would say some sheep have all the luck.
Lake Bolac in Australia in the World news today
The world's oldest sheep there has passed away
At twenty three for a sheep a great age she did die
What's old to her and her kind seems young to you and I.
