The Wound And The Finger Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

The Wound And The Finger

The figures plainly
come out of the dark.
Has Thomas lost heart?

Hesitates and wavering,
you can see the wrinkles
on his forehead.
His big eyes reveal a lot.

What is more noticeable?
The wound,
the finger, Jesus?

But Jesus himself
bows his head to
savor this encounter
or touch. Jesus
seems to relish it.

The images arise in
my head, lively and open.
