Theatre Of Dreams Poem by Karen Wood

Theatre Of Dreams

Close your eyes and step inside,
Within these hallowed walls.
Here everything is possible,
Come join us, one and all.

The sound, the lights, the stage is set,
Await your every wish.
As darkness falls, the play begins,
All thoughts of daytime vanish.

What will be the theme tonight,
Where will we spend our time,
A lovers tryst by riverside?
Or with a soldier in wartime?

Will eerie streets of mist invade
Our senses gripped with fear,
As monsters chase us through the dark
Drawing ever near.

There are boundless possibilities
Here within these walls.
Confined, restrained by you alone
They answer to your call.

Without you, we would not exist
All would be, just as it seems.
So close your eyes, and come inside,
Bring life to the theatre of dreams.
