There Ain'T No One Watchin' Poem by Jerry Pike

There Ain'T No One Watchin'

Rating: 5.0

There ain’t no one watchin’

There ain’t no one watchin’
as the thin rises,
as anger scales new lows,
swallowing whole.

There ain’t no one watchin’
as the mind frost sets,
as shoulders escalate
into solid fists.

There ain’t no one watchin’
as daily chores evade,
as the visiting hides,
behind a static face.

There ain’t no one watchin’
as paper dreams, detonate,
onto a bonfire of tears.
There ain’t no one watchin’

To me this tells a story of incredible loneliness that I think we all feel at times in our lives. You have a unique style, and many stories to tell. Keep writing and sharing. A '10! ' Best Wishes, Marilyn
