There Beats In My Breast

There beats in my breast so great Salvation
That God has blest me to know
The love of God in Jesus Christ
The lover of my soul
And oh what love and benefits
Have I now to embrace
Forgiveness for my waywardness
Enjoying His mercy and grace

Human love cannot compare
To the love He has for me
The deep deep love of Jesus Christ
Who loves unconditionally
And every hour of waking time
I know He's with me here
Oh what a blessing to know my Lord
And walk with Him in prayer

Too shallow is the love of man
With its many limitations
None comparable to God's love
Found in so great Salvation
For high and holy is my Lord
From sin's power we can be free
Oh how He loves, oh how He loves
He loves so absolutely!

Have you found that love for Him
And seek to do His will
Or are you so absorbed as such
To do your own will still
Don't be daunted by unhappiness
Which the flesh will lead you too
But repent and believe on Jesus Christ
And you'll enjoy Salvation too!
