There For Him
I can't show I'm hurting
Not at all for the day
I can't cry a singer tear
Or he'll know I'm not ok
It's clear he needs me
Yet I'm never there for him
He says 'you always are'
Faith in myself grows dim
I push down each feeling
Of sadness and sorrow
I have to hold it in
And the same goes for tomorrow
'This time I'll be there for him'
I promise my heart
But how can I be there for him
When we're always apart?

What a tender a lovely poem. I think I understand the feelings expressed. Being there and yet not being fully there because of not feeling secure to show true feelings. Somehow, I think, Tara, in this kind of situations, we have to take the bold step to really show feelings. Sometimes it is better to face the consequences of showing our real feelings than to keep hiding them. A very nice poem. Keep writing.
