In the midst of so great a multitude,
where not a single face I'd once seen,
there I stood.
To capture the sea of heads
that gallantly plied the boulevard of our great institution,
there I stood.
Surprised at the pace they moved,
as though heading for the rarity in knowledge,
there I stood.
I never knew they sought the opposite
until I saw a ton of them gouging on sweets meant for tomorrow.
There I stood-weeping the loss of human dignity.
