There Is A Girl Poem by Kate Battye

There Is A Girl

There is a girl,
one or two of you may know her.
She walks in the light,
when there is light.
But when there is not,
She walks in the shadows.
Her problems unnoticed,
by those she's know for years.
But the people who journeyed through the darkness
with her,
these are the ones who know;
know of the secrets within.
Ones that are not spoken; just seen.
Ones that are not noticed; just told. And also ones of the past.
Memories of hospital visit,
scars on the hands of those survivors,
She is the survivor of a life untold.
Look deeper and you may see.
