There Is No Time Poem by Shalom Freedman

There Is No Time

There is no time
And one day there will be no more time-
But in the time to come
There may be too much time-

Time and more time
To sit and wait and think and wonder why
When one had one's powers
One used them so sparingly and unwisely

Time and more time
If I come to the time
Many better and stronger than me have come to-

The time of sitting mouth open and saliva driveling
Waiting and waiting for the next meal
One must be fed by someone else to eat.
