There's A Field Of Schemes

There's a field of schemes that Satan has
To distract you upon life's way
First you'll try one direction of his
Then he will throw another your way
The top three that are on his list
If you try them you're sure to lose
You've probably guessed them yourself as well
That's right! ....drugs...sex...and booze

He's the manufacturer of such
For he hates the Godly way
Sex without marriage...non committal
It's here Satan brings dismay
Then the appetizers to tease
To hinder men when they think
Just a little bit of drugs on the side
And of course don't forget the drinks

Satan sells it as a pleasurable idea
Eat...drink...and be merry
Your number one and don't you forget it
The top label on his stationary
But don't buy into his deviousness
He's not here to make you whole
Remember his agenda is to take your life
His top priority....your soul!


Oh yes and I almost forgot
The love of money as the root of all evil
Some men who labor just to be rich
Are allured there by the devil
Never content with what they have
They still need just a little bit more
Will leave a path of surreal destruction
And rejection at Heaven's door

Praise God for the Uppertaker
That can forgive us for all our sin
That can take the pieces of our strewn lives
And put us together again
And to top it off as the Master He is
When we go His way instead
We can live with the steadfast rejoicing hope
One day we will rise from the dead!
