THINK NOT OF WEALTH
Think not of wealth, nor tomorrow
Or what we wear or eat
But think of Him knowing sorrow
And of the time we meet
Think of Heaven and think of hell
Of life and death’s long night
Of that which Jesus had to tell
Shedding salvation’s Light
Consider Christ and who He is
Consider why He came
Consider all and each of His
Walking the path of shame
Give thought of mother, father, kin
Neighbours and friends close by
Think of the state of grace they’re in
And of the day they die
Soon every knee to Christ must bow
Where each their sin confess
So let’s prepare to meet Him now
And all our ways address
Let all examine self today
Consider all we’ve done
Seek God’s forgiveness as we pray
Through Jesus Christ His Son
We need God’s Lamb as Lord and King
As Counsellor and friend
Trusting in Him for everything
Until the very end
Until our Saviour comes again
Upon His horse of white
Freeing His bride of death and pain
By power of His might
