Thinking Poem by Ray Hansell

Thinking

Thinking about today
Thinking about the past
Thinking of all the memories
That will forever last

Thinking about my youth
And all the things I did
Thinking about how lucky I was
Back when I was a kid

Thinking back that life was easy
With no worries or cares
Sitting here today and thinking
That nothing can compare

To those youthful days gone by
Stored here in my mind
It's a place I like to visit
When I have some spare time

I don't go there often
Because life is such a rush
But when I lay back and close my eyes
I can almost touch

All my childhood places
Where I use to go
I didn't know way back then
How much I'd miss them so
