This Angel

-This angel-

Every smile,
Every thought,
Every tear,
Every secret,
Every frown,
This angel doesn't belong to me,

Every day,
Every sunshine,
Every memory,
Every second in her company,
Is slowed down,
Why doesn't this angel belong to me,

Regrets come to pass,
but love always seems to last,
This angel doesn't belong to me.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
