This Friend Poem by Heather Kemper

Have I ever told you about this friend I have
she keeps us guessing and on our toes.
She's not the best for showing up on time
but she's got the biggest heart I know.
She's always out there trying
and has a problem saying no.
She means to be there really
but she's not the best when on the go.
Still for all her little down sides
she's the best of friends I have.
Always quick with a smile and a compliment,
especially if things are bad.
When things are tight and desperate,
she manages to come through.
She's trusting open and honest,
a blessing because she's true.
If only she could see herself
like the rest of us can see.
She might see how much she's worth to us
and let herself be free.
