This Here Cigar! (For W) Poem by Dee Wright

This Here Cigar! (For W)

Rating: 5.0

I guess
It was

a Monica Lewinksy
moment

as you came
all over me

in a way that
I didn’t want to forget

so yes
I kept the dress

refusing to dry-clean it.

It swung
brazenly upon its hanger

greeting me
each morning

with its sashay & sway.

It always made me
smile.

Its little starburst
(almost imperceptible now)

but clear
in my mind’s eye

& that’s why

my darling
love

although you don’t smoke

I have bought you
this here cigar

for you to do
what you will with

as history
repeats itself

& I come
into your arms

once again.

This here guy like how you write and why. You deserve a cigar! Congratulations...it's..a poem! Doing a Monica eh? I guess it's one way of keeping down your drycleaning bill. What's the name of your local cleaners...Clintons? love Donall Donall
