This Illusion Poem by Soren Lyon

This Illusion

Rating: 5.0

Faraway winding roads, the path is lit by moonlight.
Clouds cover the sky, rain pours down.
The candle’s flame wavers.
Stars shine in the dark.

Another day, I think of you.
The forest sleeps, the water flows,
Stars shine on.

Snow falls, trees bend, I shiver.
The sky glows with soft moonlight.

This illusion fades with time.

Ah but all great loves began as illusion, projections of the imagination. Do not give up, but do not remain a wall flower forever either, if that is what you are doing. You would be suprised. Perhaps the object of your affection also feels the same way about you.

But must we live in illusions, there is lots of time to make them realities
