This is for the boy…
Who will one day break my heart
Who will abandon me for someone else
I just want to say that
I’m not angry – no matter what I say
I don’t blame you and I’m sorry I wasn’t good enough

This is for the boy…
Whose existence I might ignore
Whose love I will take for granted
I just want to tell you that
I’m so sorry – and I hope you can move on
I won’t hold it against you if you end up hating me

This is for the boy…
Who will take my breath away
Who will lie to me
I just want to say that
I’m never going to forget the way you hurt me
I’m going to cry every night, but I won’t think badly of you

This is for the boy…
Whose intentions I won’t understand
Whose sacrifices I won’t take notice of until you’re gone
I just want to tell you that
I wish I had treated you better
I was truly happy with you – even if I didn’t say so
