THIS IS WHY

I don't tell
because I know
you'll deny

I don't tell
because I know
It will end in a fight

But
when i told
you asked
me 'why'

Why?
because
I feel left out

Why?
because
I KNOW that
I'll always be 'the weirdo'

Why?
because
I just want to scream at someone
but I know i can't

Why?
because
my sister gets all the attention

Why?
because now, there's ANOTHER
baby in the house

Why?
because I'm tired
of being
'the big sister'

Why?
because
I HEAR them
talking about me

Why?
because
I want
to move on

Why?
because they think
I'm a boy
but I don't want to change

Why?
because
nobody understands

Why?
because
you just
don't get it

Why?
because
I don't want to grow up

Why?
because
I need her now
more than ever

Poem of the Day

poet Sir John Suckling

Dost see how unregarded now
That piece of beauty passes?
There was a time when I did vow
To that alone;
But mark the fate of faces;
