Today I stand
Lost in the midst of a chaotic world.
I wish you were here to hold my hand
While the flames towards me hurl.

The truth is that I know neither where I am headed
Nor if I am on the right path.
All I know is that the road is eerily rugged
And that I'm scared of what might be the aftermath.

I knew the day would come
When I'd be fighting for a place to be.
All I can do is hum
And dream of you and me.

I must stay strong
For myself and for you.
I will eventually find the place where I belong
And I would owe it all to you.

This one's for you, dad,
And for all the things you have given me.

You are my strength.
You are my guardian angel.
You taught me that peace comes at length
And that I should always remain faithful.

Shall things not go as planned,
I know I will always have you, dad,
To from heaven hold my hand
Just like I hold you in my heart.

Help me choose the right path, dad,
Even if it will be hard,
For I am your girl, dad,
And I can take a blow
Even if takes me off guard.
