This Silent Love Poem by Sangeetha Pandaram

This Silent Love

I saw you in the park today
I tried not to look
But I couldn't look away
I imagine what it would be like
if we didn't have so many walls between us
all these Ifs and Buts and Cannots

If I had a wish it would be
to feel the touch of your hand against my cheek
And to whisper in your ear... I love you
And if I had another, it would be to ride with you to the ends of the earth
telling the stories of our lives...

But all we have is this silent love
this unuttered passion
and when I go to sleep at night, the dream that we will wake up together.

I saw you in the park today
But you were with another.
