This Soul Of Mine
I hate this wildly beating heart of mine,
asking me to slow down,
when all I can see is the long road ahead.
I hate this fearful, anxious mind of mine,
clouded by chaotic thoughts,
when my eyes can clearly see the
treacherous road ahead.
But, I love this timeless soul of mine,
wanting to free itself,
and desperately longing to start
the wonderful journey ahead.
