Look me in the eyes
and tell me what do you see
Do you see pain and anguish
frustration and sickness
The utter feeling of wanting
to let go of you
The need to move on
the want to forget
It had been so long
since I felt that good
But you took it all away
in a single phrase
I've seen it happen to others
never thought it would happen to me
But it did
it's taken time
But I'm through now
time to turn a new page
In this race called life
why we put ourselves through this
I'll never know
the only thing I do know
Is I can't wait to feel this way again
