Thorns and buds

Reality is love has been lost,
But friendship has been gained.
Reality is I am sad,
But will laugh again.
Reality is I am broken,
But beginning to heal.
Reality is I am old,
But still an amazing woman.
Reality is harsh with thorns,
But in spring comes a bud.
Reality is facing reality,
But having no fear.

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born
