Those That Bloom Poem by April Monroe

Those That Bloom

Rating: 4.3

Those That Bloom

Flowers know how to grow
where the sun neglects to show
They stretch their stems far beyond
the roots given to prolong
And their struggle,
although fruitless to us,
is all they long for
at the end of dusk.
Yes, we all could learn much from
those that bloom,
As we sit with despair,
in the dark with our gloom.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
One day I noticed some beautiful yellow flowers seeking light as their stems paralleled the building they were planted next to and this poem came to mind.
