Those Younger Years

I miss those younger years when things were so small.
I ran around looking up at everybody cause they were so tall.
My world was so tiny and nothing really mattered. What I did all day
Was run and play with joy and laughter. I had tons of toys and
my problems were so light cause mommy was always there
And never let me out of her sight. She always took care of me
and made sure I was fed then she'd dress me and change me
Shove me off to bed. I'd go to school and get into trouble but
I had nothing to fear cause mommy would be right there to
Show me how much she cared. I'd go home and watch TV and
go outside and play and then she'd shove me off to bed again to
Start a brand new day. I always loved my mommy and she
Loved me. She always knew how to take care of any scrape or
cut but today I believe what I needed more was a good swat
On my butt. I was spoiled rotten and never once heard the
word 'NO' and today if you see the way people act you can
Tell, it shows.
