Thoughts Of Black Poem by Medea Kali

Thoughts Of Black

Empty, cold, I feel so morbidly alone
To think these thoughts every day or two
To have the same feelings of yesterday
Is this what you have to offer me?
Is this what you have planned for me?

Colors of red and blue I can see
Smiles, pretentious laughter
They speak to me but I can only fathom a word or two
Are they reaching for me?
Or am I hallucinating, yearning for an emotion
For a meager ray of hope
To pierce my heart and resurrect me again

I have a sinister longing for the sea
To come and swallow my being whole
Let my lifeless body sink deep
Lie on the sea’s floor, surrounded by pitch black nothingness
