Thoughts Of Present Poem by Edward Webb

Thoughts Of Present

When we are deep in thought,
images drawn upon the mind,
never is a sighted moment,
in the present to find,

the present moment is not thought, it is but body felt,

sensation driven by the senses, thoughts of this not dealt,

untill that moment has slipped to past,
when you can take a look,

within the mind of thoughts and dreams,
a habitation where sits your heart,

which can trick the eyes painting truth like imagined art,

So painting in thoughts of days past,
not delivering every part,

And yet come night and moons lighting, we do not go roaming,
for even the drum of your Heart beating,
must pause so it can breathe,
for in a few short hours,
he will rise giving tomorrow its birth,

and you can awake with memories constructed,
a fresh day on a reborn earth
